BREAKING: Is Donald Trump really the 'Trumpet of God?'

The Christian Commander is a non-partisan, independent publication and is not affiliated with any political party.

To better understand public opinion, we ask the question: "Is former President Donald Trump's name a sign that he is being leveraged by God to pave the way for fulfilling the following prophesy?"

"In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed." (1 Corinthians 15:52)

Some of his evangelical supporters might say that Trump has opened the eyes of the metaphorically blind, and changed those who were metaphorically asleep: those who were not enlightened about the world's "wicked" political establishment.

The event that is labeled the "Rapture," even though the word never appears in the King James Version of Scripture, is described like this:

"For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first.

"Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord." (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17)

The trumpet described in the above passage symbolizes a high-pitched sound that gets one's attention.

Signals rendered by either horn-blowing or trumpet playing functioned, in one of many use cases, to alert the ancient Israelites to prepare for battle.

In January 2023, as reported by the Huffington Post, Trump announced that he would build an “impenetrable dome” over the U.S. if re-elected — to “protect our people” from the threat of other nations' nuclear weaponry and World War III.

“World War III would be a catastrophe unlike any other,” he said in the video posted on his Truth Social media site.

“This would make World War I and World War II like very small battles. The best way to ensure that such a conflict never happens is to be prepared with unmatched technology and unrivaled strength.”

Some people love him, some people hate him. One thing is for sure is that Donald Trump is resilient.

Many of his critics and political rivals might ask, "What has he done to earn the title: 'Trump of God?'"

Pastor and Apostle Gino Jennings is not a fan of either former President Barack Obama, President Joe Biden or Trump.

"Anyone with common sense knows Trump is a sinner," Jennings said in a video posted to You Tube (linked below).

Jennings is the overseer of the First Church Of Our Lord Jesus Christ, and the Truth of God Broadcast network.

The viral preacher insisted: "Trump condones adultery."

Jennings also alleged that Trump is tantamount to an atheist.

"He don't believe in God. He don't want nothing to do with God. He have a hate for God," Jennings declared.

In a controversial video posted and commented on by the You Tube channel titled "At Christ's Expense," Pastor Jennings referred to Trump as "the so-called president of the United States."

He also decribed the former president as a "child of hell and the servant of the devil."

The nearly 13-minute video, titled "GINO JENNINGS PROPHESY ABOUT DONALD TRUMP HAS COME TO PASS - A MUST SEE" does not present a particular prophesy about Trump that Jennings foretold.

Trump and his supporters insist that his criminal trials are part of the ongoing political persecutions, the "witch hunt," orchestrated by his Democratic rivals.

The Jennings video also features an unnamed Trump supporter, who offers a prayer, stating that the Lord forgives those who humble themselves, pray and look for God.

"If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." (2 Chronicles 7:14)

The prayer, evidently rendered around the time of Hurricane Harvey in 2017, also thanked God for Trump being a "president who believes in the power of prayer."

The Christian Commander reported that Trump has announced his endorsement for the "God Bless the USA Bible."

Notice that the word "Bible" also never appears in the Scriptures, leading Jennings in 2016 to announce the sale of his church's own version of the Scriptures.

He also said that his intent was to stop saying the word "Bible."

In replying to Trump supporters who accuse him of violating the verse, "Don't speak evil of authorities and dignitaries," Jennings declared: "I'm not speaking evil. I'm speaking truth."

The verse in question is 2 Peter 2:10: "But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. Presumptuous are they, self-willed, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities."

Jennings stated that for people who stand on the word of God, "It is our job to speak against authority and government."

He said that the prophets respected the kings in the Old Testament, yet the prophets spoke against kings when they disobeyed God.

Jennings declared that he respected Trump's presidency, but not the fact that the former president, "is of the devil."

Jennings also pointed out that Jesus called King Herod, the ruling authority of Galilee, "That sly fox."

Jesus was journeying through the cities and villages, teaching, while heading toward Jerusalem.

A group of Jewish religious leaders, Pharisees, advised Christ to be gone because Herod would kill Him.

"And he said unto them, Go ye, and tell that fox, Behold, I cast out devils, and I do cures today and to morrow, and the third day I shall be perfected." (Luke 13:32, KJV)

Jennings waxed bolder after his Scripture reader, Minster Steven Williams, read the verse aloud.

"Now let me tell you so-called Christians, go and tell that rat what I said," Jennings said, seemingly addressing team Trump directly.

The pastor accused his accusers of being silent when Jennings railed against former President Barack Obama, who during an interview with ABC News in 2012 announced his support for same-sex marriage.

The Lord used the pagan kings of both Babylon and Media Persia, Nebuchadnezzar and Darius, to both punish and reward Israel, respectively.

Trump negotiated normalization agreements between the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Sudan, Morocco and Israel: the 2020-2021 Abraham Accords.

Christian organizations and teachers such as End Times Ministries, and Dr. David Jeremiah teach that "Daniel's 70 Weeks prophesy" begins with a seven-year peace agreement signed by Israel and the Palestinians.

Trump supporters might say that he became president of a world power when he was a rookie politician. He defeated a politically elite veteran, Hillary Clinton. And that Trump's appointment to the leadership of America, Israel's staunchest ally, is a sign from God.
