Satan portrays himself as a king of kings in a futile attempt to be like Almighty God, who is described in the Book of Revelation as the King of Kings, Lord of Lords and the Lion of the Tribe of Judah (Revelation 5:5). The Almighty-God inspired writer of the Holy Bible's book of Isaiah had this to say about Satan, aka the devil named Lucifer the fallen angel:
How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High (Isaiah 14:12-14).
The prophet Isaiah was spot on. So we can ascertain from him that Satan foolishly and forever exalts himself above God's throne and wants to be on equal footing with the unchanging hand of The Almighty. But this is impossible because Satan was created by God, while nobody or nothing created God. You do the math. Blinded by hatred, jealousy and the impetuous quality of having an excessively high opinion of himself and his own importance, Lucifer fell from the grace of God and eventually got himself kicked out of Heaven.
Satan is crazy in love with himself and hates God Almighty. Unfortunately for the devil though, he oversees mankind's unfolding single world government that encompasses several corrupt organizations, kingdoms and nation states.
These organizations are controlled and empowered by the fallen angel Lucifer and include high-ranking officials and diplomats belonging to countless wings of the United Nations such as the World Health Organization, the World Bank, the International Court of Justice and the International Criminal Court, plus entities like the World Economic Forum, the World Government Forum, etc. And there are many other organizations under the devil's umbrella kingdom.
This makes the devil a delusional and pride-filled knockoff of Jesus Christ who is the true King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Jesus is watching every government that mankind has to offer. And the heavenly Christ the King who is above all earthly kings will end the era of the government of man when He establishes the everlasting Kingdom of God.
Satan does not have a chance. Give yourself a chance by coming out from under the devil's worldly grip and learn to become a person who is in the world but not of the world. Satan had it good in Heaven ministering to Almighty God, but he wanted the world and everything in it. So he willfully disobeyed the will of God by not worshiping the Lord and instead worshiping himself - the definition of foolish pride.
The devil went rage-walking throughout God's creation, starting with Adam and Eve - deceiving and further being deceived. He fell into a schizophrenic-like delusion and believes that he is actually like God. This state of illusion caused the devil to influence murderers, thieves, liars and all manner of evil - Satan being the father of all liars.
In a story from long ago, the devil tried to tempt Jesus by showing Him all of the kingdoms of the world under Satan's control. Jesus the Lord and savior had been fasting in the wilderness beyond Jerusalem for forty days and forty nights, so Satan approached Him while He was very hungry and relatively weak. Satan dared Jesus to turn some stones into bread, to jump off a cliff, and also to worship the devil and become second in command to Lucifer who ruled all the kingdoms of the earth. But Jesus resisted the devil with four famous words, "Get thee hence Satan" (Matthew 4:10).
Then the Devil fled from Jesus, while loyal angels came and ministered to Christ. When Jesus was ministering on earth, Satan tricked Judas Iscariot who was one of the 12 disciples - the one who betrayed the Lord for a payment of 30 silver pieces. But Judas the fallen disciple ended up hanging himself in disgrace. In the Bible's book of John, chapter 8, Jesus said this to his adversaries: some of the Jews who had believed in Him at first but then stopped and started accusing Him of being a demon:
Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it (John 8:44).
The Devil has one final hurrah in Him and it is a doozy. He has built the world's largest and final single world government like the ones described in the Holy Bible (Babylon, Persia, Greece and Rome) directed by a man who will not only defile the Holy Temple in Jerusalem but also sanction the so-called Great Tribulation that Jesus prophesied about in the Gospel of Matthew.
But the Lord will stand up for His believers and end Satan's reign once and for all. So in your going out and coming in resist the envious devil and He will flee and be fled by the true King of Kings.
