Some Jewish people believe Jesus Christ is Almighty God, but many more do not.

The ones who believe are known as Messianic Jews and are outcasts.

So why do so many Jews not believe in Jesus as the Messiah?

Maybe because they are JINOS - Jewish In Name Only, and are part of Satan’s crowd - even though they keep traditions, customs, feasts and holy days.

Synagogue of Satan

In the Lord’s messages to the churches both in Smyrna and Philadelphia, the Book of Revelation states that some Jews say they are Jews but are really part of the “synagogue of Satan” (Revelation 2:9; 3:9).

And Satan the devil is clearly not a follower of Almighty God but is the leader of the rebellion against God.

Your Father the Devil

Jesus accused some of the Jewish people in his era of being children of the devil, saying

“Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it” (John 8:44).

The Jewish leaders were at the forefront of the conspiracy to stir up the laymen and the occupying Romans to have Jesus put to death by one method or another including stoning.

Jesus also knew that one of his 12 disciples would join the devil in the plot to kill Him:

“Have I not chosen you, the Twelve? Yet one of you is a devil!” (John 6:70).

Judas Iscariot Was a Devil

“Then entered Satan into Judas surnamed Iscariot, being of the number of the twelve” (Luke 22:3).

One of the 12 disciples named Judas sold his soul to the devil for 30 pieces of silver and betrayed Jesus to the chief priests and scribes who were looking for a way to put Christ the King of the Jews to death (Luke 22:1-6; John 13:2).

Judas was a common name for Jewish men due to the Israelite hero named Judas Maccabeus who had led a revolt against the Seleucid Empire – an offshoot of the Greek Empire about 160 years before Jesus.

Judas betraying Jesus was a fulfillment of King David’s Psalms 41:9:

"Yea, mine own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, which did eat of my bread, hath lifted up his heel against me" (John 13:18).

Conclusion

The Lord reserved a remnant of Jewish people who believe in and worship Him. He also told us in the Book of Revelation that false Judaism was in the world.

Jewish people who do not believe in Jesus Christ as the Messiah may very well belong to Satan’s synagogue - a fulfillment of Revelation prophesy.

Because those who are truly Jewish would readily welcome and discern that Jesus Christ is the prophesied Messiah.

Nothing escapes the eyes of the Lord, especially those who say they are Jews but are really not.

For them He has reserved the lake of fire burning with brimstone.
