The Chosen: Is the nation of Israel really God’s chosen people?

Is the ancient nation of Israel's Jewish people really the ones that the Lord chose, out of all people, to be His people, and for Him to be their God?

Yes, according to the Holy Bible.

The catch is that now, through what is known as the Gospel of peace, whosoever believes in Jesus Christ is also God's chosen people, not just Jews.

This Gospel has another factor to it, by way of the Christian doctrine known as Grafting or Adoption as described in the Bible. (Romans 11)

The LORD made a covenant with Abraham, promising that He would be the God of Abraham and his descendants, plus grant them the land of Israel if they would love, respect and worship Him by His many names including Yahweh, Elohim, El Shaddai, Adonai, Jehovah-Nissi, JAH, Jesus Christ.

Out of all the tribes, peoples, cities and nations on earth at the time, as a whole only the children of Israel worshiped the Lord God of the Bible. That’s why He is known as the Lord God of Israel. And why the Hebrew Jewish people of Israel are His original chosen people.

Why Israel?

The Lord picked Israel because He does whatever He wants to do. He chooses whosoever He wants to choose. And it is His prerogative to save whosoever believes in Him.

He selected the Israelites to serve as an example, to other nations, of how to worship the one true God, to live by His commandments and moral standards.

Almost every other nation, in those days, were pagans who either worshiped no god at all or a pantheon of gods and goddesses like the sun god, the god of the moon, the god of love, the god of any and everything in life.

When Paul was in Athens, Greece evangelizing the Gospel of Jesus Christ, he chided the pagan Athenians for an altar built to the UNKNOWN GOD. (Acts 17:23).

The Greeks were infamous for their mythological hierarchy of gods and goddesses.

The Egyptians, Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks and Romans – all historical empire builders – were especially guilty of paganism.

That’s why the Jews, when entering the Promised Land of Canaan, were instructed to never fall victim to the paganistic practices of the nations and tribes around them. (Deuteronomy 12-13)

Israel, Jerusalem: Old Town, the Tower of David (or Citadel of Jerusalem) and the walls

Again, Israel was chosen because the Lord chooses who He wants to choose. Does what He wants to do.

Nowadays the Jewish remnant, Messianic Jews who keep Jewish traditions and worship Jesus are His Elect or chosen people, along with Christians.

Humans cannot really complain, because God is a merciful, just God.

Do not spare another minute, beloved. Give your life to the LORD right now.

Tomorrow is not promised. Do not make the mistake of thinking you can continue to put off living according to God's will.

Many are called but few are chosen. Enter into the realm of the chosen.

Choose the Gospel of Jesus Christ. At this very moment. Ask Him to come into your life.

Give your life to Christ Jesus.

You will not regret it.

The nation of Israel and Christians are His elect, His chosen people. And there is no regret or other way around it, beloved.

We are the believing children of Jesus Christ, and He is our faithul Lord and Savior.

He is the only way to get to heaven.

Yes. Believe!!! Although this promise was first given to Solomon regarding the people of Israel, it is relevant to all. 2 Chronicles 7:14-If my people which are called by my name shall humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
