Jesus was crucified and died for our sins, but don't you dare let the Gospel story stop there like many people do. The Lord does not want us to be ashamed to talk about the full Gospel - Ashamed to say, "He is risen."
He conquered death, his body did not suffer any decay when He was buried in a new, rock-covered tomb, and He arose from the dead after three days just like He told His disciples and the Jews who hated Him that He would (John 2:19-22).
Then He shared the method for His disciples to spread the Gospel when He gave them what is known as the Great Commission:
"Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature" (Mark 16:15, King James Version).
Not all Christians can go into all the world or are preachers. But social media can spread your reach all over the world. We all have unique gifts to add to the collective Church body. So otherwise spreading the Gospel can be as important as preaching.
To share the gospel effectively, we don’t need to be a gifted orator. We don’t need to memorize dozens of scriptures. We don’t even need to be highly educated. Those things help us share our message, but true converting power comes from a humble heart, a vibrant testimony, and an affirming witness from the Holy Spirit from deep in my soul.
One of the best ways to spread the Gospel is to tell the soulful truth like it is: "He is risen."
Let people know they can really believe that Jesus Christ actually resurrected from the dead after having been crucified and buried. That this truth is a well-documented world history event with over 500 witnesses at once (1 Corinthians 15:6).
That He shed blood and sacrificed His life, like blood from bullocks was offered to appease God in the Old Testament so that God the Father will forgive our mountain of sins.
Social media can be effectively used by Christians who choose to sign up on the platforms to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ all over the globe.
For those who believe He is the risen King of Kings and Lord of Lords, go tell it on the mountain!
For example, you can post a picture of yourself with a mountainous back drop and the caption: "He is risen like He said."
Your words come to life all over the world on some of those social media platforms. You don't need to get patted down in an airport, you don't have to drive across country, you don't even have to walk down the street and stand on the corner with a big cardboard sign, asking for donations.
Put your social media hat on if that is what you do. Tell it like it is: Say, "He is risen."
The heart and soul of the Gospel is that Almighty God was crucified as a sacrifice for the remission of sins, arose from the dead, lives forever more and offers eternal life to those who believe what?
He is risen!
I humbly advise you this:
Some people say social media is the Devil. If it is, then go on offense instead of cowering. Use social media to spread the Gospel in the devil's face.
Just tell it like it is. Say what the devil absolutely, positively hates to hear:
"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son, so whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life" (John 3:16).
He is risen! He is risen! He is risen!
