WHAT ARE GOD'S INSTRUCTIONS FOR LIVING BEFORE LEAVING?
The prevailing themes are to worship no other gods before him, the one true God (Exodus 20:2-17). To show love to him and his creations. To seek the kingdom of God first. To believe He is the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Jesus said, "the first and the greatest commandment is to love the Lord with all your heart, soul and mind. The second one is like unto it. love your neighbor as yourself" (Matthew 22:37-40).
"To love the Lord means to keep His commandments," Jesus said (John 14:15).
The list of perfect instructions for living goes on and on in the Bible.
Don't kill. Don't steal. Don't lie on somebody. Don't be a drunkard. Seek wisdom. Avoid angry, contentious, violent and gossiping people. Have no fear or worry. Rejoice in God.
