ANKARA (CC) - On Tuesday, Turkish politician, Hasan Bitmez, addressed the General Assembly of the Turkish parliament and forcefully threatened Israel because of its war with Hamas, saying, "You will not escape the wrath of Allah."
The 53-year-old then, immediately, suffered a heart attack, collapsed to the floor behind the podium and involuntarily banged his head back against the ground before his body went limp. His fellow lawmaker rushed to his aid.
The Turkish Health Ministry confirmed that Bitmetz, who is the Deputy head of Turkey's Islamist Saadet (Felicity) Party is, in “extremely critical and serious” condition.
Meanwhile, the condition of diplomatic relations between Israel and Turkey continues to collapse. The two nations restored diplomatic ties in 2022 after several years of having none.
The rocky relationship was exposed after the October 7 Hamas terrorist attacks on Israel. Jerusalem declared that it would hunt down Hamas members wherever they found them, including in Turkey.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, last week, warned that Israel would pay a "heavy price" if it attempted to eliminate Hamas members in his country. He also stated his belief that Hamas is not a terrorist organization, and that they should be involved in rebuilding Gaza after the Israel-Hamas war ends.
That is an assumption that the war will end. We do not know what tomorrow holds. But we know who holds tomorrow.
The Israel-Hamas War could morph into WW3, and lead to the return of Jesus Christ to judge the world after He thwarts the world's Israel-invading military coalition.
We will keep an eye out for the signs of Christ's imminent return. We will also watch for the possible return to Parliament of Mr. Bitmetz.
